Arrowsmith, Andrew
Andrew Arrowsmith was born in South Wales much too long ago. He joined the IT industry long before anybody thought of calling it that and is one of the few people anywhere who still can write fluent PLAN. Now all that's necessary is to find a use for it. In a long and particularly chequered career, he has sold software to Turks, designed rituals for Pagans, and written two plays that have toured commercially. Both of these were musical, and he directed one and was Musical Director for the other – as well as performing occasionally when nobody was quick enough to stop him. He has also occasionally been able to persuade people to pay him to sing. Hobbies include all the above, as well as listening to and helping perform the ethnic and traditional music of Europe and the UK, reading, debating vigorously with anybody who is prepared to offer any opinion about anything, online browser games – particularly Tribal Wars – and learning to play the melodeon.

Berardelli, David
David Berardelli was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and grew up on his grandmother's farm in Gibsonia. He also served as a bugler at nearly two hundred military funerals between 1970 and 1971. He has been a caricaturist, nightclub musician, and data-processing associate. He presently lives on a thirty-acre horse ranch in southern Mississippi with wife Linda, their horses, dogs, and a variety of birds, squirrels, raccoons, coyotes, and deer. Dave is the author of many novels, among them, The Apprentice, Wagon Driver, Demon Chaser, Demon Chaser II, The Funny Detective, Stepping Out of My Grave, Colors, Fatal Innocence, and Escape Clause. He is presently at work on several other projects, among them, Demon Chaser III and the doomsday novel And Darkness Fell.

Cerda, Pedro /, Stiles, Daniel
Striking out to make names for themselves in the brutal desert land of Tucson, Arizona, Pedro Cerda and Daniel Stiles chose the profession of security by which to build their renown. The process of vocational evolution brought sarcasm from exuberance, irritation from helpfulness, and most importantly, apathy from vigilance. Through the natural selection of a shopping mall, they learned the path for survival could be arrived at by way of detachment from care. It exists as a lesson others might comprehend through the pages of their stories, testimony put forth as the ladder of salvation from the balcony perch of chaos. You can be saved – but if not, that’s your own problem.

Chamberlin, Ann
Ann Chamberlin believes that the purpose of storytelling is to support positions in exact opposition to the views prevailing in a culture’s powerhouses, whatever those views happen to be. Nowhere is this more crucial than in the retelling of history. As Milan Kundera tells us, people in the powerhouses are not so interested in who will control the future as in who controls the airbrushes in the labs where the past’s photos are retouched. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Ann also spent time as a child in Europe where her father was visiting professor of mathematics. Ann studied in several schools, dabbling in theater, history, and English, and finally majored in Archaeology of the Middle East at the University of Utah. She spent a summer in Israel excavating the biblical city of Be’er Sheva, traveling throughout the Holy Land and living in the old city of Jerusalem for a month. She reads Hebrew, Arabic, Egyptian hieroglyphs, and ancient Akkadian, as well as French and German. She has traveled across all of North Africa, Turkey, and Jordan. She has two sons and twelve chickens and lives in an old farm house on nearly two acres near Salt Lake City. Ann is the author of ten historical novels, several of them named best foreign historical of the year by Romantic Times. Ann is pleased to announce a nonfiction history of women in the Middle East, through Haworth Press. She is the author of many plays that have been produced across the country from Seattle to New York. To find out more about Ann and her books, please visit her web site.

Cobb, Christopher F.
Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, Christopher Cobb eventually ventured off to the wilds of New York City for several years to experience the world of acting. Finding it a cruel and inhospitable world, he hid high in the Appalachian mountains of North Georgia for a time. Having grown weary of snow and perilous black ice, his life path took him back home to South Florida where he earned college degrees at Florida Atlantic University and ultimately landed rewarding employment for the State of Florida. He now lives with his wife, Melissa and his sons Grant and Joey in Port Saint Lucie, where foreclosures are outnumbered only by surly seniors on electric scooters. He is a member of the Bloody Pens writers group and the South Florida Writers Association. He loves his family (all of them!) and his dogs, Gizmo, Dudley and Magnum (all rescued!) and intends on writing more exciting books for publication. All this makes Christopher a very happy man indeed. Visit his web site for more information.

The prologue for Jimmy Stu Lives! appeared in the January 2011 issue of Rambunctious Review as a short story. Kent’s short stories have also appeared in Downstate Story, Chaffin Journal, Palo Alto Review, Iconoclast, Allegory, M-Brane SF, and Wild Violet.
